There were no halal-authorized restaurants in Kansai International Airport, and so at “za udon,” we changed all food ingredients to conform to halal, and advanced efforts into acquiring halal authorization for 3 months by making menus, carrying out investigation, and training employees. “za udon” is operated by Kansai In-flight Katering (KIC), an airline food catering company of Royal Group, and was halal-authorized by Malaysian Halal Consultation & Training.
