"Ginnan Kamameshi" is a beloved Japanese restaurant in Kumamoto City, known for its carefully prepared kamameshi (rice cooked in an iron pot). Each pot is cooked one by one using fresh local ingredients from Kumamoto, delivering a fragrant aroma the moment you open the lid and rich umami in every bite. Starting in December 2025, the restaurant began offering Halal-friendly menu options using carefully selected Halal Kumamoto Kuroge Wagyu. You can choose from two premium kamameshi styles: Kuroge Wagyu Don Kamameshi (sweet-savory simmered wagyu over rice) and Kuroge Wagyu Bibimbap Kamameshi (wagyu with colorful vegetables in a Korean-inspired flavor). The Halal menu can be ordered without advance notice, but since the restaurant is very popular, reserving a seat via the official Instagram DM is recommended.
