Ishikawa: Kanazawa's Old Town and the Tastes of Kaga
Ishikawa's capital, Kanazawa, is famous for Kenrokuen — one of Japan's three great gardens — and the preserved teahouse streets of its old castle town, with the Kaga hot-spring towns and the Noto Peninsula coast beyond.
In the Kanazawa area, Halal Gourmet Japan features a restaurant that says it serves ramen and gyukatsu made with halal wagyu beef, with vegan options and a registered prayer space, as well as a biryani specialty restaurant registered as using halal meat.
Around Komatsu, the listings include a long-established Japanese restaurant that says it prepares halal-friendly dishes and wagyu with advance reservation, a shop serving the local Komatsu udon, and a cafe in the forest serving vegetable-based meals — several of them registered with prayer spaces.
For prayer, the listings include Kanazawa Masjid and the prayer space at the KOMATSU URARA theater, both with qibla direction and wudu facilities. Checking the locations on the map makes them easy to combine with a garden stroll or a hot-spring stay.
Wander Kenrokuen and the teahouse districts, and use the Halal Gourmet Japan map to line up meals and prayer along your route through Hokuriku.
