Halal Gourmet Japan lists six restaurants in Ishikawa Prefecture (as of October 2026). There is one in Kanazawa and one in Nonoichi, and the other four are in Komatsu.
Where you eat depends on whether you are exploring Kanazawa or heading out to Komatsu. This guide covers Kanazawa and Nonoichi first, then Komatsu. The descriptions are based on what each restaurant says on its listing page.
Wagyu ramen in Kanazawa and biryani in Nonoichi
Halal Wagyu Ramen & Gyukatsu GYUMON Kanazawa, in Hommachi, Kanazawa, is a ramen restaurant that uses halal wagyu. It says it kept refining its halal wagyu ramen after opening as a yakiniku restaurant in 2007, and arrived at a bowl it was proud of in 2023. There are two broths: a rich, creamy beef bone broth and a spicy one made with its original miso. Each bowl has homemade, chewy, medium-thick curly noodles topped with marbled A5 halal wagyu.
Its listing page shows that it uses halal meat and halal seasonings, is pork-free, does not serve alcohol, and has halal options and a dedicated halal kitchen and tableware. It also has a prayer space. Halal certification is in preparation, according to the listing. For group bookings, contact the restaurant by phone.
